Jaguar Tribe Villagers

I've decided to take more tricky task and design the characters that should not stand out a lot, since they are just a crowd that acts as a background for the actual story. It was very hard not to push the contrasts and the forms as I searched for their looks. I still feel that they are not perfect, but at least I figured out some principles to use later.
Most favourite part of this task for me was digging into any visual evidence of mesoamerican people appearance, this includes statues, frescos and manuscripts. Some of ideas were taken directly from them, some were my interpretation on how it could look. Though not all of direct references made it to the final as they had that problem of looking too fancy, they gave me lots of ideas for possible characters for this setting that may play major role in the story.
